Richard Bieler, a plumber with Exhibition Place, likes to entertain staff with his poetry and he wrote this particular ode about our Director of Operations, Virginia Ludy:
Her name is Virginia and she isn’t very tall
She runs the Exhibition in the late summer before the fall
She is the undisputed leader and the fair is in her hands
Two fists of steel are ready best take care that no one lands
There are rules that must be followed or a penalty you’ll pay
Best be careful how you drive golf carts around the grounds each day
When you’re asked by her to jump make it high and use both feet
Do your job with skill and speed and you will not get much heat
Virginia’s job is very taxing but she has a great large team
They help and advise her so she rarely has to scream
She is eager and she is ready to listen for a good useful idea
To help stave off a problem thus she’s covering her rear
She is a brilliant general and she’s fought in many wars
Never losing any battles if you count up all the scores
When the Ex is finally over when the tents begin to fold
Virginia is out there complimenting folks be they young or be they old
I know that this will be another year of great public success
For Virginia and Exhibition Place from past experience not just an idle guess.
